100+ inspiring gratitude quotes to keep or share | Hallmark Ideas & Inspiration

Hi All,

I hope that you had a wonderful weekend that that this post finds you well. I am safely in New Orleans and had a fantastic first day of the conference. I'm looking forward to new learning and the positive ways that this will impact our school community and the larger district as a whole.

I was reminded today of the importance of gratitude in our daily lives today. If you could take a few minutes (7 to be exact) and watch this video. My challenge for the week would be to share a written, verbal or digital moment of gratitude for someone in our learning community and someone in your life outside of school. It's such a powerful and simple practice.  This video illustrates the positive impacts of this practice:

Shoutouts

  • Thank you to those of you who sent "Shoutouts" for this week. It's so lovely to have others to post
  • Danny, Mary Beth, Sarah, Melissa and Amber for having all their data and sharing it with the team during our Friday data team meeting. We had engaging discussions and every team was extremely efficient and productive all while having fun together making decisions to best support students
  • Lisa Wilson for enforcing school rules for all at breakfast each morning. She is such a help in supporting our school expectations.
  • Kim Knapp for taking care of pickups
  • Ashlyn thank you for running data meetings
  • Megan Mitchell for dismissing Ms. Maring's classroom
  • Nancy Robinson for checking in to help Ms. Mitchell
  • Lori and Doreen thank you for the wonderful Birthday Munchies idea!
  • Thanks to ALL for supporting two drills last week, my apologies for having to stack them in one week. I figured that was better than doing one on Halloween.

News and Announcements

  • District Writing Prompt
    • Delivered November 4th or 5th---scored the 6th of November at staff meeting
    • We will talk more about this at staff meeting on the 23rd. The rubrics are scoring mainly on the conventions of writing so do not fret you do not have to have taught the writing genre prior to the prompt.
  • There will be No Staff meeting this week  due to it being the 5th Wednesday.
  • Family Conferences---The day for conferences is the 11th of November. If you so choose not to host them on that day you can schedule your conferences the week before and the week of the 11th. Please be clear with your families about their available days and how they are to sign up.
  • 3-6 Recess is working to earn soccer privileges back. They are operating on a progression of "soccer ish" and if they are successful then they can have full games back by the beginning of November. The progression is below:
