Hi All,

I hope that you had a good weekend and that you enjoyed the eclipse in whatever way worked best for you. We had a wide variety of activities to entertain a toddler that took a very short nap! I am thankful for many things after this wonderful 3 day weekend: right near the top of the list is a warm shower after a lack of power for 2.5 days.

News and Announcements 

• Budget Update: The board met and had a very long meeting last Wednesday. They eventually voted to continue their conversation to this Wednesday April 10. I anticipate knowing more after this meeting.
• Coverage Puzzle: As we are working to cover all students on days when there are limited subs please know that we sometimes have to prioritize 1:1 student coverage. The special educators, Lori and I work to make sure that everything is covered and do our best to communicate if your services will be impacted. 
• Week 2 of testing will continue this week. Reminder: 5/6th grade specials are happening from 9:05-9:50 on Thursday morning. We anticipate the testing window to be longer than the math time last week. The schedule will be as follows:

Hi All,

Happy Trans Day of Visibility and Happy Easter (for those of you who celebrate)! Thank you all for your support and well wishes on Friday. I got some rest and jumped right into our busy Friday afternoon. I'm sorry if I didn't see you.  Rowan has an x-ray and labs at 9am tomorrow. So, I will be out until about 11. Fingers crossed we get some answers!

Mrs. Rob's 2nd grade class will be playing some pranks tomorrow---please join in on the fun. There will be a missing Bobcat, marshmallows for a healthy tasting and one other trick. :)

Ordering 

• Field Trips must be booked BEFORE April 30th! 
• Please use colored paper for any jobs that you can! The goal is to not have to order any more white paper this year. 
• Please place all orders by April 15 (tax day…easy to remember) 
• We will be on a spending freeze as of April 30th. 

Recess

• Reminder: Boundaries----3-6 students should not be on the baseball diamond/near the dugout/pavilion area. They can walk the track but we are seeing an increase in sneaking around that is leading to behaviors. Thank you for you supervision and help enforcing it. 

Breaks

• Friendly reminder that breaks should be 15 mins in length. We all know life happens but if someone is covering you please try and be most respectful to their time.

Hi All,

My apologies for not posting last week. I hope that you all enjoyed the March Madness this weekend. As the sun beamed down yesterday I found myself wondering if I was living in the west. Snow, warmth and sunshine....how lucky!

• Reminder: The cooking supplies and cart are in the SPED office. 
• There will be NO staff meeting today in lieu of parent teacher conferences this week and last. Support staff---we will gather briefly and those of you who need to complete test training can do so. 
• There will be No School on April 8th, the Eclipse day. 
• Wednesday will be the "Gauntlet Day" where we will have two Superintendent Candidates visit our school. We are being asked to have the candidate tour the building, meet with staff and students all in a tight time block! 
• There is some confusion with the schedule however I believe that we will have a candidates visiting at the following times: 
• 10:55-11:35
• Tour 10:55-11:05
• Celia 1:1 11:05-11:20
• Staff 11:20-11:35
• 12:35-1:20

• I was thinking that we would break up our time as shown above. Neither of the time slots are great for teaching staff so I tried to pick a time that was not directly in the middle of a teaching time. Thus, the order of events are different. 
• I have two requests:
• I would love to have 2-3 students give the tours. 3-6th grade teachers could you check in with your kids and see if anyone is interested? 
• Please fill out this Super Search Form if you would like to attend the meet/greet with the superintendent. I need to get an idea of who may need coverage. Thanks :)
