Hi All,

I hope that you all enjoyed this wonderful weekend and ready for another wild week! The sunshine was a gift today and I hope that you all got outside.

This week is shaping up to be another busy week. We will start and end our week with some short and sweet assemblies.

Monday from 9:15-9:35 the Harlem Wizards will come to school to do a quick showcase of their skills and a preview of the show to get the kids excited for the game at the Barre Auditorium on Monday evening. We will sit in the bleachers for this one!

Friday we will have a short and sweet memorial day assembly. I am awaiting the final details but I will let you know as soon as I do. The start time will be 9:15, it will not be longer than 30 minutes. We will likely be in the bleachers for this one too.

Hi All,

Happy Mother's Day to all of you mothers of all kinds! I hope that you were spoiled by those who love you and that you were reminded of the important role you play in the lives of those around you. This weekend I was reminded of the importance of community, loyalty and friendship as we laid to rest our dear family friend. It felt like a full-circle moment as we planted flowers at her gravesite which sits directly next to my mothers this morning.

Atlas of the Heart | Language shows us that naming an experience gives us the power of understanding and meaning. - BrenĂ© Brown

Hi All,

While today is a bit dreary I hope that you have found some moments of relaxation and joy this weekend. I am thankful for Jen Miller-A for stepping into our building on Friday as I was at the U-32 Principal search. We have two fantastic candidates to move forward in the hiring process. Please see the message below for more information.

I've been thinking about you all a lot and have some time carved out tomorrow to strategize next steps with my colleagues to best support us all moving forward. I do ask that you all take care of each other and remember that we do not know all of what someone else may be going through. Let's assume best intentions and get curious with each other. Berlin is filled with really amazing people with big hearts and a desire to make the world better.

If you are in need of outside support please reach out to Invest EAP: https://www.investeap.org/. They can offer a wide range of services and support.

News and Announcements

  • Please remember to vote on May 7th! As soon as I have an update on the budget I will be in contact.
  • PLC's this week---We will do a Data Dive during PLC's that will be led by our Intervention Team. Please look for an email from Ashlyn or Megan.
  • Here is a great resource bank for supporting behavior in the wild time that is the end of the year, Discipline Strategies for the End of the Year. I pulled out these two articles because they seemed especially pertinent.
  • U-32 Administrator Search---Please see the message below from Meagan Roy.

On Monday evening, two virtual forums will be held for community members to meet the finalists and ask questions. Here are the links to join us (our finalists have the weekend to select their time slot, so for now only the schedule is listed here):

5:00pm -  https://tinyurl.com/mtfa5dm4

Please learn a bit more about each finalist below and join us for the forums if you are able.
