Hi All,
Happy Sunday! I was reminded this weekend how grounding sunshine, friendships and the outdoors are this weekend. I came across this saying and it felt so fitting to share with you all. May we all remember that our biggest job at school is to help our students become good people. Yes, we are there to help them read, write and all the other things. But, truthfully, if they are not good people that stuff doesn't matter as much. As I said on Friday, please, take a moment to slow down, reconnect, have a lunch, share a smile this week. I'm feeling ready to tackle all that this week has in store for us, I hope you are too.
Staff Shoutouts
Truly, there are too many to count. I'll pop a couple here. Please remember to send me shoutouts for your colleagues:
- Katherine and Lynn kudos to a great science fair. What a fun way to see student work and engage the larger learning community.
- Chuck, thank you for taking the time to interview potential candidates
- Kirby, thank you for stepping in and lending a hand
- Michelle M, thank you for keeping your ship together.
- Tyler, thank you for your continued collaboration and communication
- I am serving on the U-32 principal search and will be out for a hour or so tomorrow and a few other times in the next few weeks. Just an FYI.
- 3-6 Lunch, please start with a review of lunch expectations and follow that with 5 mins of quiet eating. The lunchroom behavior was unexpected on Friday and they need some practice and reminders. If you'd like to bring your class down solo to enforce expectations I highly recommend that.
- VTCAP---I will be in touch with folks about makeups for the VTCAP. During PLC's we will come up with plan to best get everyone through testing.
- Staff Meeting will run as normal on Wednesday
- This is a great Quick Read Article---Student Behavior that I recommend taking a peek through at the start of the week
- VTCAP Schedule
